Delayed Fireworks

For the rest of us mere mortals, Independence Day happened last week. But Port Charles’s residents are celebrating with plenty of fireworks this week.

First, does Cody (Josh Kelly) actually come clean and tell the truth for once in his life? It looks like he may begin with Maxie (Kirsten Storms). But will the truth trickle down to Mac (John J. York), his actual father?

Once again, Anna (Finola Hughes) uses her spy skills to get the goods on Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). She plans to sneak back into his house and get that satellite phone. Apparently, that’ll give her all she needs to bring the man behind Pikeman down. Sounds easier said than done, right? Will Valentin surprise her in the act?

It’s official. Wannabe Congressman Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) publicly announces that he’s running for office. And what does he do? Does he start doing what countless politicians have done before him? Get himself into an inappropriate situation with someone who’s married?

Will this just be a will they or won’t they moment, or will Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew actually go for it? If Drew and Willow give in to their urges, things will get real messy!!!! Especially since Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) might witness the whole thing. If she does, the question becomes, will she tell Michael (Chad Duell) and/or Nina (Cynthia Watros) what transpired? Oh, what a tangled web Drew Cain…scratch that, Drew Quartermaine is about to weave.
