The Bold and the Beautiful Monday, July 8 Recap: Finn Ignores Li’s Warning – Hope Rejects Thomas’ 3rd Proposal

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 8, reveals that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) still wasn’t ready to marry Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), so he said he was expecting that. In fact, it’s why Thomas popped the question a third time.

Thomas pointed out that Hope would never be able to marry him, so he had to move on with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White).

Hope realized Thomas didn’t mean his latest marriage proposal, so he confirmed he was trying to prove a point.

Although Hope’s previous rejections broke Thomas’ heart, he insisted he was OK now since he’d found love with Paris – and his heart was whole.

After taking Hope’s hands, Thomas said he’d found his person and happiness, so he made a prediction about her finding those things, too.

Next on Monday’s B&B episode, Paris wrapped up her conversation with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) before dashing off to find Thomas.

Although Brooke thought Thomas’ relationship with Paris was a rebound, Ridge believed it was real and said maybe Hope should believe it, too.

Brooke doubted that Thomas was over Hope, but Ridge suggested Hope would be fine and find some other man out there.

Back with Paris, she reconvened with Thomas and complained about Hope playing the victim.

Thomas was a little more sympathetic, but he urged Paris not to worry about Hope since she’d find someone else to spread the rest of her life with.

At the hospital, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) found John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) wrapping things up in his office, so she advised him to get home to his family and make them a priority.

Finn assured Li that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and the kids indeed came first, so that led to Li’s warning about Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown).

Although Finn swore that he was done with his birth mom, Li said Sheila would be the death of his marriage if he wasn’t careful.

Li was also concerned about Hope’s influence on Finn, so she warned him to stay away from Hope too and reiterated that he should go home to Steffy.

However, Finn ignored that warning soon after! When Finn stopped by Forrester Creations to pick up a bag that Steffy left behind, he saw that Hope was upset and pushed her to open up.

Hope didn’t want to dump all her problems on Finn, but he said that’s what friends were for.

When Hope brought up Thomas’ engagement to Paris, Finn admitted that Steffy had given him updates on the big news.

Hope pointed out that Thomas could be impulsive and make decisions without thinking about the consequences, but she didn’t want anyone to get hurt – especially not Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).

Once Hope said she didn’t understand the rush, she admitted she thought Thomas was running from his feelings for her.

Finn ultimately insisted that Thomas was never good enough for Hope and took her hands as he comforted her.

After Finn said some lucky man would come along and steal her heart, that brought a smile to Hope’s face.
