General Hospital Shocker: Kelly Monaco Exits as Sam McCall – Character Killed Off in Dramatic Twist!

General Hospital Spoilers: Kelly Monaco OUT, Sam McCall Exits GH By Being Killed Off

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest there are some major cast changes on the horizon for the soap opera, and fans better brace themselves for a huge exit. According to SoapOperaNews.net, actress Kelly Monaco is leaving the role of Sam McCall on the show, after over two decades.

Even more interesting than this piece of news (if that is even possible), a source within the report is confirming that Kelly Monaco’s character Sam McCall is set to be killed off.

Fans can expect to see McCall/Monaco exit sometime in the Fall of 2024.

As per the report, Kelly was “blindsided” upon learning about the show’s decision to off her character.

Kelly Monaco entered General Hospital as Sam McCall in October 2003.

Before her work on GH, she was also on the soap’s sister show, Port Charles, playing the role of Olivia “Livvie” Locke Morley and Tess Ramsey.

During her tenure within the land of soaps, Monaco has earned two Daytime Emmy nods.

One in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category in 2003 for her Port Charles role, and once in 2006 within the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for GH, playing Sam McCall.

The role of Sam has been temporarily replaced, here and there, in the past by soap veteran Lindsay Hartley a number of times since 2020.

In fact, even as recently as last week, Hartley stepped in for one episode, only for Kelly Monaco to step back into the role of Sam as of the Monday, August 26 show.

General Hospital spoilers imply that all hopes around a JaSam romantic reunion can now be thrown out of the window, with the news of Monaco leaving the daytime drama, and her character being killed off.

The relationship Sam shared with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was one of the biggest super couples on GH and in Daytime Soaps.
