The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle Is the New Adam – But Is Vengeful Bad Boy Here to Stay?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has been straying from his bad boy roots for a while now. Adam is actually getting along with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and has been focusing on Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) instead of twisted schemes.

Of course, we have to acknowledge that Adam is a different kind of mess these days!

Adam still has problems since he slept with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and will inevitably blow up his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) as a result.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is also pressuring Adam to take over Newman Media again and plans to use Adam’s ruthless tendencies to his advantage, so there’s the potential for Adam to dip back into bad boy territory.

That said, the show currently wants to highlight a different snubbed son who’s out for revenge.

Now Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is getting a little taste of what it’s like to be in Victor’s shoes thanks to Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) latest behavior.

It used to be Adam who constantly fought back against Victor due to feeling disrespected and cast aside.

Now Adam’s found some acceptance with his father – unlike Kyle, who was fired from Jabot and has teamed up with the enemy.

Kyle wants Jack and Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) to pay for how they’ve treated him, but he started this with all his sabotage and insubordination.

That seems reminiscent of Adam and the dangerous pattern he was previously stuck in.

There’s the potential for Kyle to spin out even further since Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is coming at him with custody threats.

Kyle is done letting people push him around, so he’s poised to play even dirtier and sink even lower.

Since Kyle is the new Adam and has become the show’s resident bad boy, we have to consider what the future holds. Is this version of Kyle here to stay?

It seems more like Kyle’s being set up for a major downfall instead – one that could leave him crushed and could perhaps cause him to reevaluate his life choices.

Our Y&R predictions point to Kyle snapping out of all this down the road, but he’ll have to learn some tough lessons first.
